Purpose of the Course

Software tools useful for statistical computing will be introduced.  These will include Mathematica and R/Splus.  The focus will be on using these tools for statistical analysis and simulation studies.

 

Software:

Mathematica is available in the student labs under a Penn State site license.

R is freeware.  It can be downloaded from www.r-project.org

 

Evaluation
