An undergraduate can minor in statistics by completing 21 credits, as described below. Often, students in quantitative fields will already have taken several of these courses, so completion of a statistics minor does not involve a great deal of extra course work.

To apply for admission to the undergraduate statistics minor program, complete this form.

Requirements

Statistics minors must complete their 21 credits through the following courses:

  • MATH 140 and 141 (8 credits)
  • (STAT 318 and 319) or (STAT 414 and 415) (6 credits)
  • STAT 480 (1 credit)
  • 2 courses (6 credits) from the following list: STAT 416, STAT 440, STAT 460, STAT 462, STAT 463, STAT 464
